JUPEB Applauds AE-FUNAI Over Improved Teaching and Facilities

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) has commended the Centre for Educational Services of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, for its enhanced quality of teaching and infrastructural development.

This commendation was contained in a letter dated 7th May 2025, addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Sunday Elom, and signed by the JUPEB Registrar, Professor Ademola Adeleke. The letter followed the Board’s monitoring visit to partner and affiliate universities across the country.

According to the Registrar, the assessment revealed significant improvement in the delivery of academic services at the AE-FUNAI Centre. He particularly praised the Management of the Centre, led by Dr. G.O.C. Udu, for its concerted efforts in raising the standard of teaching and learning.

The Board urged the Centre to sustain its progress and continue to enhance both its academic and infrastructural frameworks to further boost students’ performance.

A breakdown of the Centre’s evaluation scores highlighted the following:

  • Teaching: 86%
  • Experiments: 72%
  • Coverage of Syllabus: 84%
  • Class Attendance: 72%
  • Tutors: 85%
  • Facilities: 79%

JUPEB reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring high standards in its affiliated institutions and encouraged AE-FUNAI to remain a model of academic excellence.
