The Inspector-General of Police, Nigeria Police Force, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has warned Nigerian police officers against engaging in extortion and other illegal activities.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, unequivocally stated in a press release on Wednesday.
The Statement reads partly, “To maintain the highest standards of integrity within the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has sternly condemned any form of extortion and issued a clear warning to all officers against using or dropping his name for such nefarious activities”.

The IGP, therefore, reassured the public of the Force’s commitment, under his watch, to root out misconduct and ensure accountability at all levels.
