“I Saw a Singlet With Blood Stains” — Mohbad’s Aunt Accuses Wunmi, Recalls Shocking Scene After Singer’s Death

In an emotional interview with VDM, Folasade, the aunt of late singer Mohbad, shared disturbing things she witnessed after his death and accused his wife, Wunmi, of failing to protect him.

“When I got to Mohbad’s house, I entered his room and saw one singlet with blood stains all over it,” she said. “I went to meet my sister, Mohbad’s mum, and I started asking her questions. She said she just finished washing Mohbad’s duvet because the blood was too much on the duvet.”

“I then asked her that why was there so much blood, and she said she didn’t know,” Folasade continued. “I told her to let us question Wunmi—she should be able to tell us why there was so much blood—but she said we should let her be for now because she was still mourning her husband, so I kept quiet.”

She added, “I also saw vomit in Moh’s room on the floor. I met Mohbad’s lawyer in the house, a woman wearing a white garment, and some Alfa.”

Speaking on the relationship between Mohbad and Wunmi, she said, “Mohbad and Wunmi did introduction and I was there. In fact, they turned it to a big thing, and I expected Wunmi to have protected her husband.”

“I am also a married woman. I know what I can do to prevent evil from getting to my hubby. She knew Mohbad was the breadwinner and she should have protected him. This is why I will always have issues with her. She is very disrespectful. She doesn’t fear anybody. Someone like that can do anything.”

Folasade said she tried to get answers but was stopped. “I wanted to ask Adura what really happened but Moh’s mum would not allow me. I would have asked Darosha but he wasn’t in the house that day with them.”

She also described a troubling scene after Mohbad’s death. “After Mohbad died, the first thing Wunmi was fighting for was Mohbad’s phone, and I told Adura not to give it to her. I wanted to fight Wunmi that day because I was surprised that her husband just died and it was phone she was fighting for.”

“There is this Moh’s friend called Hayan who was preventing Moh’s mum from making a video in the house. I fought him. He was even there with his mum.”

Folasade concluded, “Mohbad was not aggressive before he met Wunmi. They were always fighting.”
