Erik Ten Hag Appointed As Bayer Leverkusen Head Coach

Erik Ten Hag has been officially unveiled as the new head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, succeeding Xabi Alonso, who recently took charge of Real Madrid.
The Dutch tactician signed a contract with the German club until June 2027, marking a return to familiar territory after previously managing Bayern Munich II earlier in his career.
Ten Hag arrives with an impressive resume, having led Ajax to multiple domestic titles and a memorable run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 2019. He later managed Manchester United, where he won both the FA Cup and EFL Cup before leaving the club in October 2024.
Leverkusen, who went unbeaten on their way to a domestic double in the 2023/24 season under Alonso, will look to build on that success as Ten Hag begins a new chapter at the helm.
