Eniola Badmus Condemns Death Wish on Politician, Urges Nigerians to Embrace Decency

Actress Eniola Badmus has strongly condemned a social media influencer for wishing death on an unnamed politician, calling the act deeply disturbing and unacceptable.

In a post shared via Instagram, Badmus expressed disappointment over the hateful message, stressing that political differences should never override basic human decency.

“It’s truly disheartening to see a social media influencer use their platform to wish death on anyone at all. No matter your political views, we must never let hate override our humanity. As Nigerians, we are better than this. If we want change, let it be through dialogue, truth, and unity — not violence or death wishes. Let’s choose decency over division,” she wrote.

Her reaction comes in the wake of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s death, after which some Nigerians on social media expressed similar sentiments toward President Bola Tinubu, citing their dissatisfaction with his leadership.

Badmus emphasized that change must be pursued through respectful engagement, not hatred or violence, urging citizens to rise above bitterness and lead with compassion.
