That’s why we want you to know a little about Lagos State, where you’ve been posted to serve.”He explained the significance of certain age-long traditions in Lagos State like naming ceremonies, marriage ceremonies and burial arrangements.
Chief Olulayo encouraged the corps members to become beacons of influence in their communities, nation and globally. He reminded them that their actions have consequences, quoting the age-old adage, “Whatsoever a man sows, he will reap.”
He warned corps members on the Dos and Don’t in some certain communities, as there are some areas that they are not expected to go especially on festive days such as, the oro festival in ikorodu, The Alagemo , Egungun and Eyo cultural days. Olutola advised corps members to go and impact positively their various host communities and be weary of thunderbolts especially the Aworis as they don’t joke with their wives.
The Chief also cautioned corps members against late night outings and advised them to endeavour to inform their colleagues of their location as kidnapping are rampant in some locality within the State. He prayed and wish them success as them move into their various communities.
