A renowned Delta State highlife musician, Dr. Arube Otor, popularly known as Isoko Fela One is preparing to marry three women on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

The grand ceremony will take place at the Anglican Church Field in London Base, Uzere Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Arube, 55, recently shared the wedding invitation and pre-wedding photos of himself with his brides-to-be, Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro, on his Facebook page.

Dr. Arube hails from Uzere Kingdom in Isoko South, while his brides come from various parts of Delta State. Oghenekome is from Lagos-Iyede in Ndokwa East, Ewoma from Oruamudhu in Ozoro Kingdom, Isoko North, and Oghenekaro from Uroto Quarter, also in Ozoro Kingdom, Isoko North.

According to Arube’s foster son, Emperor Efih (Oscar), the musician originally planned to marry four women, but one pulled out due to personal reasons. Efih explained, “About 20 years ago, Arube married two women. One left him, leaving him with just one wife. To reduce expenses, he decided to marry four women at once this year. Eventually, one of them opted out.”

Arube is celebrated as a Delta music legend, known for his Isoko highlife songs. With a career spanning over 30 years, he started as a driver who pursued music on the side. Over time, he formed his own dance band, named Arube, 12 years ago. Since then, he has released over 10 albums and built a strong reputation in the region.

The musician’s relationship with the three women began at different times and places, as none of them is from his hometown. Two of the women have already given birth to one child each for Arube, while the third is still waiting to conceive. Their traditional rites were performed together last year, 2024.
