Coldplay ‘s Kiss Cam Moment Goes Viral After CEO and Colleague Spark Affair Rumors

During Coldplay’s July 16 concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, frontman Chris Martin took a playful jab at a couple featured on the Kiss Cam—and unknowingly sparked a viral scandal.
While performing “The Jumbotron Song,” Martin spotted a gray-haired man and a blonde woman on screen and joked, “Whoa, look at these two,” adding, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” as the woman covered her face and the man quickly ducked out of view.
The moment, captured by a concertgoer and shared on TikTok and X, exploded online. Social media sleuths identified the pair as Andy Byron, CEO of the software firm Astronomer, and his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot. Both are reportedly married to other people.
Byron and Cabot have not commented, and Astronomer has issued no statement. However, backlash was swift. Byron’s LinkedIn profile was flooded with jokes and accusations before he ultimately deleted it. Comments included: “Coldplay setlist update: A Sky Full of Stars, Fix You, The CEO of Astronomer getting caught cheating.”
Cabot, who joined the company about seven months ago, also appears to have removed a recent post from her LinkedIn. Meanwhile, internet users tracked down Byron’s wife’s Facebook, leaving messages of support—many urging her to “get a good lawyer.” She has since removed Byron’s last name from her profile.
Coldplay continues its “Music of the Spheres” tour with a string of upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium in August.
