Chelsea delivered a commanding performance to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3–0 in the Club World Cup final, securing their first title under the tournament’s expanded format.

Cole Palmer was the star of the night, scoring twice and assisting the third goal, all within the first half. His opening strike came in the 22nd minute after capitalizing on a PSG defensive error. Minutes later, he doubled Chelsea’s lead with a clinical finish. Just before halftime, Palmer set up João Pedro, who chipped goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to seal the win.

Chelsea maintained control in the second half, with goalkeeper Robert Sánchez making key saves to preserve a clean sheet. PSG’s frustrations boiled over late in the game when João Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair, adding to the French side’s misery.

The victory marks a significant milestone for manager Enzo Maresca, whose tactical setup proved decisive in dismantling PSG’s high-profile squad. Chelsea’s triumph comes with both silverware and a reported £93 million prize.
