Buhari Could Have Died Earlier if he Used Nigerian Hospitals – Femi Adesina

Former presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, has said that former President Muhammadu Buhari might not have lived as long as he did if he had relied solely on Nigerian hospitals for his medical care.
Speaking on Tuesday during a special broadcast for Buhari’s funeral, Adesina addressed public criticism surrounding the late president’s decision to continue receiving treatment abroad, particularly in the United Kingdom.
“Those who criticised the death of Buhari in a London hospital should understand that the former president had always used London hospitals before he was elected president in May 2015,” he said.
Adesina, a former editor, explained that British doctors were already well-acquainted with Buhari’s medical history, making it logical for him to remain under their care rather than switch to new doctors.
He also pointed out that some hospitals in Nigeria lacked the advanced facilities and expertise required to manage the former president’s health condition effectively.
