On Monday, Ayra Starr made history by becoming the first Nigerian female artist to surpass one billion views on YouTube. This achievement adds to her growing list of accolades and international recognition in the music industry.
Ayra also ranks among the most followed African artists on Spotify, boasting 4.8 million followers on the platform.
Since her debut in 2021, the 22-year-old Afrobeat sensation, who calls herself the “Sabi Girl,” has gained significant local and global acclaim. Her Grammy-nominated single, “Rush,” has alone garnered over 450 million views, further cementing her status as a rising star on the world stage.
