Anambra Student Tops 2025 UTME With 375

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has named Okeke Chinedu Christian from Anambra State as the top scorer in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with a remarkable 375 out of 400.
This was disclosed by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ish-aq Oloyede, during the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions held in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to Oloyede, Christian selected the University of Lagos as his first-choice institution and applied to study Mechanical Engineering.
In second place is Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Gombe State, who scored 374 and also applied for Mechanical Engineering at Afe Babalola University (ABUAD).
Jimoh Abdulmalik Olayinka from Kwara State followed closely in third place with 373, choosing the University of Lagos to study Mechanical Engineering as well.
All three top-performing candidates, the Registrar noted, are male.
