ADC Mourns Buhari, Describes Late President as a Patriot and Symbol of Integrity

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, describing him as a statesman whose life left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s political history.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary and opposition coalition spokesperson, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC extended heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians mourning the loss.

“The African Democratic Congress (ADC) condoles with the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari and all Nigerians over the demise of the former president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR,” the statement read. “President Buhari will be remembered for his indelible imprints on Nigeria’s political history as an elder-statesman and, above all, as a great patriot.”

The party described the former leader as a towering figure who exemplified humility, integrity, and an unwavering stance against corruption, both as a military ruler and as a democratically elected president.

The ADC prayed for strength for the bereaved family and the nation, and asked Almighty Allah to forgive Buhari’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
