Real Estate Mogul to Alaafin; Things Worth Knowing About Prince Owoade
Prince Akeem Owoade, a distinguished Nigerian Real Expert Estate has been crowned the new Alaafin of Oyo. His appointment was officially announced by Governor Seyi Makinde through the Oyo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation today.
He was born 49 years ago into the Owoade-Agunloye royal family in Oyo town, Prince Owoade’s lineage can be traced to Pa Rasaki Ibiyosi Owoade, a descendant of Aremo Aderounmu Iyanda Owoade of Agure Compound.
Akeem completed his secondary education at Baptist High School, Saki, Oyo State, in 1992. His father, an agricultural officer, significantly contributed to the Oke-Ogun community farming development. These experiences also shaped Owoade’s values of service to humanity.
Passionate about engineering, Owoade earned a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro (1994-1997), and The Polytechnic, Ibadan (1999-2001) respectively. He further honed his skills during his NYSC with Nigeria Gas Company in 2002.
After a brief stint in banking with Oceanic Bank in Warri, Owoade sought global academic exposure. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Sunderland (2008) and a Master’s from Northumbria University (2012), both in Mechanical Engineering.
Certified in Project Management in 2015, Owoade’s career flourished internationally. He served as a Planning Engineer at Oil Reach Company, Glasgow, before joining Manitoba Hydro, Canada, as a Project Coordinator.
His entrepreneurial ventures include 100279 Manitoba Limited, a real estate and financial services firm. Beyond his professional achievements, Owoade’s philanthropy has impacted many lives.
