Terror Strike as two Police Officers died during Boko Haram Attack
Two Command Police Officers lost their lives in Borno State after suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the Nganzai Police Division in Borno State.
A statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Daso, on Thursday, revealed that the incident happened on Wednesday at about 12:10 am.
The statement reads, “At about 12:10 am, an unknown gunman suspected to be a Boko Haram terrorist attempted to invade the Nganzai Police Division. Gallant Officers on duty repelled the terrorist after a series of gun battles.”
According to Daso, the terrorist lobbed hand grenades, causing injuries to two officers.
“The terrorist grew hand grenades, which unfortunately landed on the shelter tent behind the division, fatally wounding two officers,” Dao expressed.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Borno State command, Yusuf Lawal, visited the station.
